Description
Laurent and Dominique Courbis run the family vineyard whose origins date back to the 16th century.
The estate is made up of 40 hectares of vines on hillsides, most of them spectacularly steep, facing south/south-east on the communes of Glun, Châteaubourg and Cornas :
- 8 ha in AOC Cornas,
- 5 ha in AOC Saint-Joseph blanc
- 18.5 ha in AOC Saint-Joseph rouge
- 1 ha in Crozes Hermitage
- 3 ha of Saint Péray
The annual production is 1500 hectolitres or about 200,000 bottles.
The average yield is 38 hl.
The hand-picked grapes are taken to the cellar where, after a rigorous sorting, they are vinified according to methods that have remained traditional over the generations, giving the wines of the Domaine a particularly appreciated typicity.
