Vineyard Levet

Ampuis

28 July 2026

Description

The family estate, founded in 1929, when the first vines were planted, has been handed down over four generations. Today, Bernard, Agnes and Nicole Levet take care of around 4 hectares of terraced vineyards in different areas of Ampuis.

60% of the vines on the estate are over 50 years old and are planted with Syrah grapes. At each stage of growing, the work is done efficiently by hand. After traditional vinification, the Côte-Rôtie is aged for 2 years in oak barrels before bottling. The Levet family wants its wines to be an expression of their “terroir”, to be powerful, fruity and spicy.
