Bruno Simon and Christophe Lincontang form the band that will accompany you, paying tribute to the great guitarist Wes Montgomery.
Bruno, born in 1964 and a graduate of the ENM in Villeurbanne, played in a number of jazz groups (Shakok, Tripotes...) before accompanying the Affaire Louis Trio in the 90s. He is regularly hired by the Orchestre National de Lyon for film-concerts, and founds the Bruno Simon trio, with whom he wins the prize for best soloist at the Avignon competition in 1993. After 30 years as head of the jazz and contemporary music department at the CRD de Mâcon, he is now a professor at the Conservatoire de Vienne.
Christophe, the double-bass player: A flautist as a child, then lulled to sleep by Ray Brown, Christophe definitively gave in to the siren call of bass sounds.
After brilliant studies in double bass, he became a key sideman on the Lyon scene. Over the years, he has performed and collaborated with numerous artists on national and international stages. Alongside his career as a musician, Christophe teaches double bass and jazz at the Vienne Conservatoire.
